Job Description

We have got an exciting opportunity for Student Services Manager to be part of our team at the Institutes of Higher Education (IHEs) namely APIC HELI and CHS in either our Brisbane or Melbourne campus locations.

Asia Pacific International College (APIC) Higher Education Leadership Institute (HELI) and the College of Health Sciences (CHS) provide a number of awards from diploma to Masters degrees in areas such as business project management IT higher education learning and teaching focusing on eLearning and health management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the Student Services team providing guidance training and support to ensure high performance
  • Foster a positive work environment encouraging collaboration accountability and professional growth.
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex student issues and grievances ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Appropriate referral of students to support and welfare services.
  • Monitor and review student support processes identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Develop and implement service delivery standards ensuring a high level of support and responsiveness to student needs maintain a positive student experience.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data to drive improvements in service quality.
  • Provide support to the Registrar Director of Student Services and the wider IHE leadership team in all areas of student experience.
  • Serve as a liaison between students faculty and administrative departments promoting clear and effective communication.
  • Collaborate with academic staff to identify and address student support needs ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Prepare regular reports on student services activities highlighting achievements challenges and opportunities for growth.

As the successful candidate you will ideally have:

  • Bachelors degree in education or a related field or equivalent experience in an educational environment.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a Private Higher Education sector.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a leadership and customer facing role preferably in an educational environment.
  • Experience using a student management system and at least intermediate level skills in MS Office
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask in a busy environment
