The Superintendent invites qualified and interested persons to apply for the position of Vice Principal Secondary.
POSITION OVERVIEW
At Newark Board of Education we aim to provide a worldclass education for every student. Our vice principals help to bring this vision to life at their school. They support the schools principal by taking the lead on a range of efforts to enable a thriving school that supports each students academic success and wellbeing. This typically includes assisting in the planning organizing and supervision of the daytoday operations of a school and helping to guide teachers in meeting instructional goals. As a secondary vice principal youll spend your days in a variety of ways to help your school succeed. In any given week you may do everything from planning the College Open House to leading professional development for teachers and staff.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Masters Degree from an accredited college or university.
New Jersey Principal Standard Certificate or a Certificate of Eligibility for Principal.
Demonstrated successful experience increasing student achievement as a teacher utilizing a variety of approaches that emphasize inclusion and culturally responsive practice.
Demonstrated successful experience supporting or leading schoolwide initiatives
REPORTS TO: Principal
SALARY EMPLOYMENT PERIOD AND UNION AFFILIATION
Salary Range: $105200 $138500
Employment Period: Eleven 11 Months
Union Affiliation: City Association of Supervisors and Administrators (CASA)
