What we are looking for:
Yazaki is looking for aSenior Tax Analystto join our Finance team inCanton MI. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and actiondriven environment making lasting impacts on the organization. This position is hybrid.
What you will be doing:
- Prepare federal state international and local income sales & use gross receipts VAT and property tax returns including efilings as required.
- Prepare booktotax differences by gathering and analyzing data drawing accurate conclusions and creating detailed supporting work papers.
- Prepare quarterly estimated payments and extensions and support the taxable income forecast process semiannual and yearend income tax provisions.
- Prepare tax account reconciliations comparisons of returntoprovision deferred tax validations and nonincome tax filings such as 1042 FBAR W8BENE/W9 unclaimed property and all other filings.
- Support federal state international and local audits as needed.
- Maintain tax compliance and reporting calendar to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Contribute to companywide and departmental process improvement initiatives especially as it relates to the use of technology.
- Collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external consultants.
What you will bring to the table:
- Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
- CPA (preferred)
- 35 years of corporate tax preparation and research experience with a CPA firm or within a corporate environment
- Ability to resolve complex issues by applying creative thinking and rootcause problem solving
- Ability to think and act logically under pressure
- Ability to resolve issues or propose resolutions to responsible parties
- Must work independently and collaboratively
