The Experience Design & Research department at 1Password exists to explore research design and champion the most delightful clear and useful experience for all our customers empowering them to be both secure and productive at work and at home.
Were looking for a Product Design Manager to lead a talented team of designers within our Growth group focusing on optimizing the user journey reducing friction and driving productled growth experiments. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping how we acquire onboard and retain customershelping to unlock new revenue opportunities and drive expansion within our existing product ecosystem. With a strong focus on both user experience and business growth this is a unique opportunity to define and refine a key area of 1Passwords strategy making a meaningful impact in a fastevolving space.
As a Product Design Manager youll be the design leader behind the endtoend experience for growth initiatives. Youll work closely with a crossfunctional teamincluding Product Management Engineering Research and Marketingto align on strategy drive experimentation and ensure seamless intuitive experiences that convert and engage users. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fastpaced dynamic environment with a knack for building strong collaborative relationships across teams.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What were looking for:
- Design Expertise: 68 years in product design with experience in UX systems design UI and information architecture at scale in a SaaS company (specifically experience in B2B SaaS is nicetohave).
- Proven Product Leadership: 2 years of managing teams and projects with measurable impact on organizational success.
- Mentorship & Growth: Proven track record of coaching and developing design teams to reach their full potential.
- Effective Communication: Clear articulation of design value leading the design process from start to finish.
- Collaborative Partner: Ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams like product engineering and marketing.
- Growth Mindset: Passion for continuous learning and leading scalable highimpact design teams.
- Project Management: Taking initiative and aligning your team with the right process that will deliver solutions in fastpaced environments.
- Talent Recruitment: Helping recruit and onboard top talent to build a strong capable design team.
What you can expect:
- Leading the product design team for the 1Password Growth initiatives.
- Connecting together projects and goals with a focus on endtoend experiences to leverage business growth from deployment to expansion.
- Partner with Product Management Research Data Engineering and Marketing counterparts to understand the domain drive experiments product strategy and ensure clear goals and priorities for the team.
- Build mentor and develop solid product designers.
- Plan design team performance workload and career development.
- Collaborate with design leadership to connect the dots across teams and cultivate departmentwide culture and standards.
Bonus points for:
- Experience with well established B2B SaaS companies.
USAbased roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $173000 USD and $233000 USD plus immediate participation in 1Passwords benefits program (health dental 401k and many others) utilization of our generous paid time off an equity grant and where applicable participation in our incentive programs.
Canadabased roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $146000 CAD and $198000 CAD plus immediate participation in 1Passwords generous benefits program (health dental RRSP and many others) utilization of our generous paid time off an equity grant and where applicable participation in our incentive programs.
At 1Password we approach each individuals compensation with a promise of fair market value and internal equity commensurate with experience and specific skill set.

While we are a remotefirst company occasional travel for inperson engagement will be a part of this role. Frequency will depend on role and responsibilities and may include but is not limited to annual departmentwide offsites team meetings and customer/industry events. These events will typically be held in varying locations across Canada and the US.
