Welder Job Description
We are seeking a skilled welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding technical drawings and specifications to determine welding requirements cleaning and preparing metal surfaces using various welding techniques to fuse metal parts together inspecting welds for defects maintaining welding equipment and adhering to safety guidelines. Welders are essential in many industries from construction and manufacturing to automotive and shipbuilding.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding technical drawings and specifications to determine welding requirements.
- Cleaning and preparing metal surfaces to ensure strong welds.
- Using various welding techniques such as MIG TIG and arc welding to fuse metal parts together.
- Checking welds for defects and ensuring they meet industry standards and project specifications.
- Performing routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition.
- Adhering to safety guidelines and wearing appropriate protective gear to prevent injuries.
Requirements
