Right now were hiring DEI Facilitators to join our collective of educators delivering training that equips teams with real actionable tools. If youre passionate about work people and building teams through antioppressive practices lets talk.

Through our capacitybuilding and management development training we provide realworld strategies that help leaders and teams navigate the cultural interpersonal and systemic realities of todays workplace. We dont believe in surfacelevel DEI we equip organizations with the confidence skills and tools to embed equity into everyday practices in a way that feels authentic and impactful.

By prioritizing both systemic and behavioural shifts we help organizations move beyond checkthebox initiatives empowering them to create workplaces where diversity equity and inclusion are embedded in both culture and operations.

About the Role

Were looking for independent DEI facilitators to join our collective of educators delivering training thats impactful relevant and actually moves the needle. Whether your expertise is in restorative justice antiAsian hate accessibility or another DEI focus area we want to work with facilitators who are passionate about driving real change in workplaces. You can lead sessions using Blooms original materials or bring your own content (at a negotiated rate!. Lets cultivate organizational change together.

The Opportunity

    • Delivering interactive DEI sessions that promote awareness understanding and actionable strategies for fostering more diverse equitable and inclusive workplace experiences for all;
    • Utilizing facilitation techniques tools and activities to cultivate engaging and thoughtprovoking learning experiences;
    • Leading virtual and inperson workshops training sessions and seminars on a range of DEI topics adapting content to meet the specific needs of each organization;
    • Fostering a safe and respectful environment for open dialogue and constructive conversations around sensitive antioppressive topics;
    • Providing guidance and coaching to participants on how to integrate antioppressive practices into their daily work behaviours and interactions;
    • Staying current with industry trends research and best practices related to facilitation and incorporating new insights into content materials and approaches.

What Youll Bring to the Table

    • You have a deep intersectional understanding of diversity equity and inclusion (DEI) in the workplace and proven experience facilitating impactful training programs both virtually and in person.
    • You are excited about creating humancentred learning experiences that drive both collective and individual growth.
    • You value building trust and partnerships with interdisciplinary teams external clients and stakeholders.
    • You have a high emotional intelligence (EQ) and a facilitation style that is empathetic compassionate and resourcefulessential for navigating different personalities viewpoints and emotions.
    • You understand antioppressive strategies and decolonizing practices for organizations.
    • You have strong communication skills (visual written and verbal) and can present complex ideas in a clear concise and engaging way.
    • You are adept at using virtual collaboration tools and adapting facilitation methods to suit diverse client needs.
    • You are organized detailoriented and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
    • You can analyze feedback and refine facilitation methods to continuously improve learning experiences.

More About Us

    • Were a tightknit team; however there is space to work autonomously and independently quite a bit.
    • Youll never work on the weekend or hear from me (Avery) after 6 PM during the week (unless there is an emergency). People rarely work on Fridays here; if they do its on their own time when they want how they want.
    • Youll have autonomy and input in selecting every client we work with. No surprises. We get collective team approval before taking on any new contracts.

Compensation Location Hours

    • $40.00 $50.00 per hour (for prep work routine admin creating content and internal & client meetings) $500 per session you facilitate. You will be joining Bloom via your corporation or as an independent contractor.
    • We are 100 remote and encourage folks to work where they can do their best work. That said since were often facilitating or meeting with clients we expect contractors in the Bloom collective to conduct their work from a private secure and quiet space to ensure a distractionfree environment.
    • This is a flexible ongoing contract role based on an hourly structure. While youll have the freedom to manage your schedule most of our clients operate Monday to Friday between 9 AM 5 PM EST and our training sessions are often scheduled during this window.

The Interview Process

      Round 1: 30minute video Zoom call with Agnes (Sr. HR Advisor)
      Round 2: 45minute interview with Avery Francis (Founder and CEO Bloom)
      Round 3: 60minute interview. Youll be given Blooms content for a minisession and will deliver a mock facilitation to a panel of our team members. Theres no independent work or original IP required just an opportunity to showcase your facilitation skills. As this is purely a demonstration of delivery with no new content creation we will not be compensating candidates for this step.

      We are accepting applications for this role up to April 4 2025. All candidates who have applied will be contacted with whats next in the interview process by April 30 2025. Any and all applicants that come after the communicated deadline will not be considered.

Start Date

    • This is a contract role on a projectbyproject basis. If selected to join our collective of facilitators youll be engaged as a contractor for a 1year term with opportunities to take on facilitation work as it arises. We already have potential sessions available for contractors as early as May 2025!
