Our client is looking for a Senior Ecologist/Biologist Project Manager to join their awesome team on a fulltime basis! This opportunity can sit in their offices inClermont or Kissimmee FL with flexibility for remote work and hybrid schedule for the successful candidate.
The Senior Ecologist/Biologist will ideally spend 50 of their time in the field and 50 of their time completing reports and permit applications and collecting and documenting information about plants animals wetland delineations and the environment. Requirements:
Experience with regulatory programs and applications
Ability to write proposals for:
- Environmental due diligence
- Wetland and/or wildlife permitting
- Wetland delineations
Experience with:
- General wildlife assessments and reports
- FWC Gopher Tortoise surveying and relocation
- Bald eagle caracara sandhill crane and osprey nest monitoring
- USFWS Scrubjay and Sand Skink surveys
- GIS mapping and graphics
Qualifications:
- 10 years of related experience
- Bachelor of Science in Biology Environmental Science Ecology
- Comfortable working with reptiles
- Physically active able to work 10 hours outside
- GIS mapping
- Ability to tow trailer (preferred)
- Operating UTV/ATV
