Whatyou would be doing:
TheResidentAssistantplays akeyrole at The Orchards.Resident Assistantsestablish caring relationships with our residentsand works with them to ensure their comfort andsafetyby attending to theirroutine dailyneeds and reporting care needs to the membersof the nursingteams.
Whatyourwork schedulewould be:
We offer flexible scheduling options of 4 6 8 and 12 hours shifts to best meet the needs of your personal commitments and those of our residents.
Thesuccessfulcandidate:
Is at least 18 years of age.
Exhibitsthe capacity to respond to the basic needs of the residents.
Preferably hasprior experience in a residential care facility or nursing home.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions follow instructions and accept constructive criticism.
Must be able to deal tactfully withresidentswhomay beill disabled elderly emotional upset and potentially hostileas well asfamily members visitors government agencies and the general public.
Must be able to understand the needs of the elderly. Must exercise patience and the sincere willingness to meet those needs.
