Position: Facilities Lead Technician
Location: Nova Wild Zoo Reston VA
Nova Wild Zoo is seeking a skilled and dedicated Facilities Lead Technician to join our team! If you have a passion for wildlife and a knack for ensuring topnotch facility maintenance we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily maintenance and repair of zoo facilities
- Ensure the safety and functionality of animal habitats and visitor areas
- Lead a team of technicians in performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance
- Collaborate with other departments to support zoo operations and events
- Implement sustainable practices to enhance our ecofriendly initiatives
Requirements:
- Proven experience in facilities management or a related field
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Knowledge of HVAC plumbing electrical systems and general maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently
- Passion for wildlife conservation and sustainability
