Job Description

The Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago invites applications for parttime lecturer positions for theacademic year to teach in our programs. We seek excellent teachers and experienced practitioners to teach in a variety of policyrelated areas that enrich the Harris Schools already robust curriculum. Candidates must have at least a tentative idea for a course or seminar to be offered as well as expertise and experience directly relevant to the course or seminar being proposed.

Qualified candidates must have a graduate level degree and/or professional experience in the relevant field; a PhD is preferred. Candidates must have relevant or policyrelated experience; prior experience teaching students is strongly preferred.

We will review applications on an ongoing basis throughout the year beginning on August 9 2024 but will stop accepting applications for theacademic year on April 1 2025. Each candidate must submit a curriculum vitae or resume and a course proposal. Optionally prior teaching course evaluations and other materials relevant to your candidacy may be included. The position will be part of the Service Employees International Union.
