Job Description
Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and motivated Design/Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design particularly with sheet metal and proficiency with Autodesk Inventor. This role involves designing developing and testing mechanical components and systems ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed mechanical designs using Autodesk Inventor with a focus on sheet metal components.
- Create and review technical drawings specifications and documentation.
- Perform engineering calculations and simulations to validate design concepts.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including manufacturing quality assurance and R&D to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
- Conduct prototype testing and analysis making datadriven recommendations for design improvements.
- Assist in the selection of materials and components to meet design requirements specifically for sheet metal applications.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements integrating new technologies and best practices into design processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the design and production stages.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Design Engineering or a related field.
- 35 years of prior experience.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer or Design Engineer.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor specifically in designing with sheet metal.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles materials science and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
