Corporate Governance Executive

Remote / Home based
Full Time Maternity Cover Contract Till July 2026.
per annum
Tide Partnership are proud to be partnering with a leading national charity in their search for a talented and detailfocused Corporate Governance Executive. This organisation is dedicated to driving positive change for young people across the UK and this role plays a crucial part in ensuring they operate with the highest levels of governance and compliance.
This is an excellent opportunity for a governance professional who wants to apply their skills to a meaningful cause working for a charity whose work changes lives every single day.

The Role

In this vital position youll work closely with the Director of Legal and Company Secretary helping to embed best practice governance processes across the organisation. Youll manage the smooth running of key committee meetings ensure statutory filings are always up to date and maintain critical governance registers ensuring the charitys governance framework remains robust and fully compliant with Charity Law and Company Law.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as secretary to the Finance & Investment Committee and Risk Audit & Compliance Committee preparing agendas managing board packs and taking minutes
  • Overseeing Companies House and Charity Commission filings and compliance
  • Supporting internal audits including managing followups and presenting at Committee meetings
  • Maintaining registers (conflicts of interest gifts & hospitality related parties)
  • Coordinating the production of the Annual Report ensuring governance content is accurate and timely
  • Managing governance processes such as the Annual General Meeting and other key member and board meetings
  • Staying up to date with changes to legislation and best practice helping the charity stay ahead of the curve

What Were Looking For We are keen to hear from candidates with:

  • Proven experience in a corporate governance company secretarial or compliance role
  • Strong knowledge of Charity Law and Company Law (relevant qualification is a plus)
  • Outstanding organisational skills youll need to stay on top of multiple deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confidence to work independently and handle complex information (legal financial and commercial)
  • Strong IT skills particularly across Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • A natural relationshipbuilder who can work effectively with senior leaders Trustees and external partners
