Job Description

BiLingual Transportation Assistant Manager


Department: Transportation

Reports to: Transportation Manager

The Bilingual Assistant Manager of operations Dedicated Transportation is responsible for supporting the daytoday management and strategic of dedicated fleet operations. This role ensures service reliability cost efficiency compliance and customer satisfaction. The Assistant Manager supervises transportation staff monitors KPIs manages carrier relationships and drives operational excellence across assigned lanes or regions. The ideal candidate is fluent in English and Korean enabling effective communication across diverse teams and with external partners.



Responsibilities:

Support the and oversight of dedicated fleet transportation operations ensuring ontime performance and service compliance.
Supervise and provide guidance to carriers managers dispatchers and operations support staff.

Monitor daily route and proactively address service disruptions or delivery issues.

Collaborate with bilingual team members external partners and customers to ensure seamless operations.

Communicate proactively with internal departments and customers regarding delivery status and issue resolution.

Ensure full compliance with DOT OSHA and companyspecific safety standards.

Participate in route optimization cost control and service improvement initiatives.

Assist in hiring onboarding and training of bilingual team members and ensure clear communication across language barriers.

Generate reports and insights to support business decisions and continuous improvement.

Serve as the acting manager in the absence of the Transportation Manager as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Logistics Transportation or a related field (preferred).
  • Fluent in both Korean and English.
  • 5 years of experience in transportation or logistics with leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of dedicated fleet operations dispatch and routing.
  • Proficient with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid leadership decisionmaking and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and fleet compliance standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings if needed.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in bilingual or multicultural logistics environments.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement methods.
  • Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and fleet telematics.(ELD)

The estimated base salary range for this job is $81200 $90500.The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors including but not limited to specific skills or certifications years of experience market changes and required travel.
