Position now available for SERVICE TECHNICIAN DRIVER

JOB SUMMARY:Responsible for Waste Cart 2 Wheeled Trash Carts) maintenance including delivery removal assembly repair and/or cleaning of trash carts and containers for all customers within an assigned geographical area of service.JOB DUTIES:

  • Daily utilize OTTOs company vehicle to drive to multiple customer locations within a route or assigned area to deliver assemble service clean repair or replace the customers 2Wheeled Trash Carts
  • Perform safe driving operations of company vehicle (Box Truck (NONCDL) OR Commercial Pickup with pull behind trailer)
  • Respond to customer service order requests for Trash Cart assembly delivery or removal; fix repair and/or clean Trash Carts according to customer service order requests preformed onsite or at customers location
  • Provide warranty/reclaim documentation as required by customer and manufacturing standards.
  • Heavy lifting may be required to stack load and unload both assembled and unassembled plastic Trash Carts and Containers weighing from 3035 pounds
  • Respond quickly and effectively to customer inquiries or requests; reporting any customer concerns or issues to the Field Supervisor
  • Record keeping of tasks performed service order requests completed and inventory reporting
  • Abide by all safety regulations with respect to both Trash Cart handling and operation of company vehicle
  • Submit weekly completed service order requests and inventory reports
  • Service vehicle pre and post trip inspections cleaning and minor maintenance
  • Facility and yard maintenance including organizing sweeping and trash maintenance
  • Responsible for sorting carts stacking carts organizing carts and maintaining order in the cart inventory on premise
  • Utilize pressure washer to clean up carts as needed daily or routinely
  • Any duties mandated by management as necessary to serve OCMs customers

Typical hours are MF 7:00am 3:30pm. JOB QUALIFICATIONS SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.

  • High School Diploma or certification required
  • Must have a Valid State issued Drivers License with safe driving record
  • 3 or more years experience safe driving operations of company vehicle (Box Truck (NONCDL) OR Commercial Pickup with pull behind trailer)
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed to include waste containers of various sizes tools or other equipment necessary to assemble repair clean load or deliver 2Wheeled Trash Carts and Containers
  • Basic knowledge and ability to utilize hand tools and small power equipment including Pressure Washer for waste cart assembly maintenance cleaning and/or repair
  • Must be able to read and follow road map instructions and must know the local geographical area
  • Must be able to meet Department of Transportation requirements (DOT Physical Drug Screen Background Check and approved Motor Vehicle Report)
  • Must have stable work history and strong work ethic
  • Ability to read and understand English and to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers
  • Ability to effectively present information to coworkers and management
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form
