4Summary:
This Child Life Specialist will work to provide coverage to the Emergency Department and will be responsible for providing essential life experiences family support & education to patients and families in the health care system. The Child Life Specialist collaborates with other health care providers as well as the community to promote growth and development and facilitate positive adjustment for patients and families throughout the health care experience.
Required Education/Qualifications:
Bachelors (or) Masters Degree in Child Life Child Development or a closely related field.
Completion of a child life internship.
Previous experience working as a Child Life Specialist within Emergency Dept. preferred.
Certified Child Life Specialist (or eligible) within one year of hire.
American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS required within 60 days of hire.
