Boeing Commercial Airplane is hiring Numerical Control Planners to join our team in North Charleston South Carolina.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develops implements and maintains various Machine Control Data (MCD) geometry and documentation that directs the operations for a spectrum of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture assemblies.
• Working closely with other NC Programmers Manufacturing Engineers Process Engineers Equipment Engineering equipment provider Boeing Design Engineers Boeing Research & Technology Engineers Quality Engineers IT Industrial Engineers and Production Operations personnel.
• Ability to read understand and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (e.g. blueprint/schematic reading specification change design).
• Provides machine operator instructions and documentation for automated or numerically controlled equipment per established process.
• Establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility.
• Plans and guides the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods processes software and equipment.
• Assists in numerous tasks related to numerical controlled manufacturing including research and data collection to support cross functional teams establishing technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility and planning the integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods processes software and equipment.
• Works under minimal direction.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• 1 or more years of experience in CATIA V5 NC programming and/or machining experience with the ability to learn CATIA V5
• Ability to read understand and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• General understanding of multiaxis Numerical Control (NC) machines.
• Ability to read understand and revise MCD.
• 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience working with machine tooling metrology and Composite fabrication/producibility.
