St. Thomas More School an awardwinning speech and mock trial school is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Preschool Aide to join our team. This role supports our mission to nurture young learners in a faithbased environment that fosters academic and personal growth.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate effectively with the lead teacher to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment.
Model best practices in early childhood interactions and implement positive discipline strategies.
Assist in the development of activities supporting socialemotional cognitive and physical growth.
Respond to and initiate communication with the lead teacher to ensure seamless classroom operations.
Adapt to and prioritize unplanned duties while maintaining program needs and requirements.
Perform classroom sanitation tasks including sweeping vacuuming mopping and using cleaning products as needed.
Encourage public speaking and foundational communication skills in preparation for elementary and middle school speech and mock trial programs.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in early childhood education and teaching preschool.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and confidentiality.
Capacity to work independently while being a supportive team player.
Flexible and adaptable to changing classroom needs and priorities.
Physical ability to perform regular cleaning and classroom maintenance tasks.
