About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Piping/Layout Designer to join their expert drafting team. Reporting to the Drafting Manager this role offers the opportunity to work on industryleading projects in either Edmonton or Calgary. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise leadership skills and a commitment to excellencein piping and layout design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update P&ID diagrams.
- Create precise 3D layout and piping models.
- Lead 3D model reviews to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Check and approve vendorsupplied drawings.
- Produce fabrication isometric drawings and general arrangement details.
- Model pressure vessels and fabrication details.
- Assist the piping checker and support junior/intermediate designers.
- Develop and maintain drawing standards and recommend process improvements.
Requirements
What You Bring:
- 10 years experience in piping and layout design.
- Proficiency in Cadworx 3D AutoCAD 2D & 3D) and Isogen for spool generation.
- Strong knowledge of plant processes and layout design.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Passion for mentoring and leadership to support team development.
