GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
The Clinical Research Coordinator II (CRC II) will provide administrative support and project management for specific research undertaken by the MGH melanoma program including the newly established brain metastasis research program. . The CRC II will work closely with physician leaders in the coordination of therapeutic and translational research for patients with advanced melanoma. The CRC II will interact directly with patients research nurses clinical research coordinators and members of the Flaherty lab to coordinate patient participation in biomarker investigations. The CRC II will ensure that patients eligible for biomarkerbased investigations are captured in a screening database and are approached by physiciansinvestigators to discuss participation and consent. The CRC II will work with clinical and research coordinators to ensure scheduling of tumor biopsies and research phlebotomy. Responsibilities will extend to the brain metastasis research program.. The CRC II will maintain a database of patients receiving investigational therapies or biomarker studies including tumor/blood sampling time points biomarker assessments relevant to trial eligibility (genetic testing immune biomarkers etc.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Attend meetings of MGH Melanoma Program and Brain Metastasis Program
Supervise Flaherty lab research assistants in maintaining database of patientderived samples
Generate meeting minutes and action items with Drs. Flaherty and Sullivan
Meet with physician leaders at least once per week to review project portfolio and action items
Meet weekly with members of the Flaherty lab to ensure optimal coordination of tumor biopsy and blood sample processing
Meet monthly with members of the Engelman lab to develop melanoma patient derived cancer models
Liaise with colleagues on collaborative crossinstitution work within DF/HCC
Contribute to other strategic planning and special project oversight as requested
Contribute to and support a team environment
Support Department efforts to collaborate with the biopharmaceutical partners

General Support
Acquiring specific knowledge of all relevant MGH and Partners policies and procedures
B.A/B.S. required
Minimum of 12 years related experience required. .
Proven success and experience facilitating multidisciplinary interaction

The incumbent will work in an office environment in the MGH Cancer Center Administration. There may be considerable foot traffic and noise from time to time from visitors and other residents of the office area. The position requires frequent travel among MGH/Partners HealthCare sites and other institutions in Boston.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Incumbent will have access to administrative support as necessary for scheduling meetings and sending out notices. No direct supervisory responsibility.
