Defense Readiness Reporting System Analyst Macdill Air Force Base Tampa FL The Defense Readiness Reporting System Analyst assists the United States Marine Corps Forces Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands by serving within the operations directorate task area. The positions primary mission involves advising the COMUSMARCENT in all matters pertaining to current and future operations and organizing directing and controlling USMC operations in the USCENTCOM AOR. The operations directorate handles force requirements and coordinates Global Force Management needs with the Service and USCENTCOM overseeing training readiness personnel recovery and force protection and ensures all necessary actions are aligned for both current and future operations. The Defense Readiness Reporting System Analyst directly supports services for MARCENT through analysis services relating to deployment capabilities and defense readiness to ensure the efficient of MARCENT OAMS tasks both within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside the continental United States (OCONUS). The Defense Readiness Reporting System Analyst will perform the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide analysis services in support of the Defense Readiness Reporting System.
- Review deployment capabilities analyze factors relating to readiness develop training train MARCENT staff on readiness systems and policy review subordinate Marine Corps unit reports develop recommended corrective actions and develop resource priorities.
- Continuously monitor Situation Reports personnel equipment and logistics readiness of MARCENT and forward elements as well as assist in monitoring all USMC units assigned in the CENTCOM AOR.
- Monitor feedback from units supporting operational deployments or exercises review afteraction reports and lessons learned.
- Review unit inspection results develop readiness deficiency lists and report in the Joint Quarterly Readiness Review (JQRR).
- Provide current and projected readiness assessments per Service Title 10 readiness responsibilities.
- Attend and provide Program Review documentation appropriate to the meetings being attended or hosted.
- Ensure all MARCENT DRRSS reports are submitted within the USMC standard timelines and will assist subordinate reporting units in meeting all timeliness and content standards.
EDUCATION - HS diploma or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE - Minimum ten years of military experience.
- Experience working with Defense Readiness Reporting Systems (DRRS) or similar readiness management systems.
- Experience in analyzing monitoring and evaluating deployment capabilities readiness factors and training programs including developing corrective actions and resource priorities and reviewing Situation Reports afteraction reports and lessons learned.
- Experience with readiness reporting including the Joint Quarterly Readiness Review (JQRR) and ensuring timely and accurate submission of reports.
CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCIES Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities - Possess expert level knowledge of the Defense Readiness Reporting SystemMarine Corps (DRRSMC) Defense Readiness Reporting System Strategic (DRRSS) Marine Readiness Management Output Tool (MRMOT) Marine Corps Readiness Tool (MCRT) Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) as well as the readiness and capabilities of MARCENT and Marine Corps forces in the CENTCOM AOR.
- Ability to continuously monitor and assess the readiness of personnel equipment and logistics and assist in monitoring all USMC units in the CENTCOM AOR.
- Skills in reviewing afteraction reports and lessons learned and incorporating feedback into readiness assessments.
- Advanced proficiency with groupware applications (SharePoint MS Teams) and the Microsoft Office suite (Word Power Point Excel etc. desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills desired.
WORKING CONDITIONS - Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus.
SPECIAL POSITION NOTATIONS - Travel is required.
- Qualification as an authorized company driver is required. All authorized company drivers must have a valid drivers license current automobile insurance and a driving record that is acceptable to the companys auto insurance provider.
SECURITY CLEARANCE - A Secret clearance is required for this position.
