DN Tanks is looking for a motivated Preconstruction Estimator to join our growing team. As a Preconstruction Estimator you will be responsible for preparing coordinating and submitting estimates for various projects. As well as analyzing project requirements gathering relevant data and ensuring that estimates are accurate and aligned with project goals. The ideal candidate will be detailoriented organized and able to work effectively with different teams to support the success of each project. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth of DN Tanks while developing your skills in preconstruction estimating.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review project bid documents including plans specifications addenda and relevant correspondence to understand the scope of work and identify potential risks developing a comprehensive plan and specification review document.
- Facilitate Bid Team meetings to discuss questions conflicts clarifications and assumptions related to the project estimate.
- Prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) to resolve design issues and ensure accurate estimates.
- Perform quantity surveys takeoffs and develop detailed estimates including preparing proposal letters and coordinating with subcontractors and vendors for quotations.
- Prepare cost comparison analysis recommend subcontractors/vendors and support obtaining Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation.
- Review bid submissions for accuracy finalize pricing with Sales and facilitate handoff meetings to ensure smooth project transitions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Structural Mechanical Engineering or other technical field such as Construction Management.
- 3 5 years of professional experience preferably in the municipal consulting or construction related industry.
- Proficiency with MS Office estimating programs scheduling Bluebeam and AutoCAD software
- Verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a range of partners managers and subject matter experts
