Job Description
Job Title: Teacher/Floater
Location: The Goddard School San Antonio
Job Type: FullTime
Reports To: Liz Robles
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and flexible Teacher/Floater to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. This role involves providing support to various classrooms covering classes as needed and ensuring that students receive consistent and highquality instruction regardless of their assigned teachers availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist lead teachers in developing and implementing appropriate lesson plans and instructional strategies that meet the diverse needs of students.
Float between classrooms as needed covering for teachers who are absent on planning time or require additional support.
Support students in various subject areas helping them understand concepts and encouraging their academic growth.
Maintain an orderly and safe classroom environment ensuring that students follow school rules and procedures.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to assess student progress and participate in team meetings and professional development sessions.
Provide individualized attention and support to students with different learning needs.
Facilitate small group activities and assist with classroom management.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and any concerns.
Foster positive relationships with students staff and parents to create a supportive and inclusive school community.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Education or a related field (preferred).
Associates Degree in Education or related field
CDA (Child Development Associates)
Valid teaching certification or license (where applicable).
Previous experience in a classroom setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to varying classroom environments and student needs.
A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and learning.
Patience creativity and problemsolving skills are essential.
