MELE Associates Inc. is looking for a knowledgeable dedicated experienced organized and motivated fulltime Contract Administrator to support the Director of Contracts and help the contracts group at MELE with Federal government contracts subcontracts and related agreements. The ideal candidate must have a strong background and deep understanding of Federal government contracts. This position requires the individual work at MELEs headquarters office in Rockville MD (at the present time in a required hybrid work environment with three days in the office and two days working from home). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform independent actions with a high degree of initiative to support various tasks daily.
- Maintain accurate organized and complete contract files in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Utilize and improve Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system processes.
- Actively complete review documentation requirements and processing tasks on all Federal government contracts subcontracts related agreements/modifications and compliance issues.
- Administer contract and subcontract terms & conditions and flowdown clauses.
- Monitors contract and subcontract reporting and delivery requirements (if required).
- Ability to collaborate professionally and appropriately with crossfunctional teams on a daily basis. (i.e. accounting project controls senior management).
- Assist the Director of Contracts Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) compliance and relevant flowdown requirements from federal state and local governmentfunded contracts.
- Administer contract and subcontract closeouts as required.
- Assist the Director of Contracts to continually improve processes procedures and policies to promote compliance and efficiency of contract administration.
- Mentor lowerlevel contract staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree required and degree or other formal education related to government contracting law or corporate compliance a plus.
- 57 years related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience in managing various forms of Federal Government contracts.
- Understanding of various Federal government and commercial contract types of such as Time and Materials Firm Fixed Price Cost Plus Fixed Fee IDIQ Contracts Multiple Award Contracts contracts awarded under the General Services Administration (GSA) schedules Blanket Purchase Agreements Teaming Agreements NonDisclosure Agreements and other corporate agreements.
- Strong understanding of Federal contracting and a good command of the FAR and capacity to document contracts/subcontracts accordingly.
- Ability to recognize when improvements need to be made and make suggestions for their incorporation.
- Excellent planning and organization skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and high desire to seek crossfunctional synergies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Required software experience: Microsoft Suite of products (Excel Word PowerPoint and SharePoint) and ability to learn new computer applications.
- Must be able to work on different projects at one time in a team environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in an industry standard CLM system (preferred Agiloft)
- Experience in an industry standard CRM system (preferred Deltek Costpoint Deltek GovWin)
LOCATION: This is a hybrid position in Rockville MD.
SALARY
- Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data internal equity and the candidates related knowledge skills and abilities for the position. The range for this position is $95k120k.
