Responsibilities

Peraton requires Systems Administrators to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3. This position is located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill AFB FL.

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract(SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM its Component Commands its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs) and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration change license and asset management; conduct training and perform Install Move Add Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM the CIO/J6 organization and ultimately the enduser who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

We are seeking an experienced Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of our Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) infrastructure. This includes managing the deployment configuration and maintenance via the Windows Server 2022 of the Organizations Tenable Nessus Scanner applications and software updates across the SIE organization. The ACAS Administrator will work closely with other ACAS teams throughout the SIE to ensure seamless integration and Compliance of our IT infrastructure.

Systems Administrators perform tier one and two network support in accordance with the SIE OPORD. Position requirements may vary depending on location system complexity the types of operation and additional network systems and the size of the supported organization. Experience with specific types of hardware and software systems used by the Government is required. Systems Administrators monitor and control one or more midrange application servers. This position studies program operating instructions to ensure proper configuration and effective operations. Systems Administrators continuously observe the operation of assigned applications and storage devices to prevent hardware or software failure. This position manipulates systems in accordance with standard procedures to ensure operations when individual parts of a system malfunction. Systems Administrators confer with senior administrators systems and applications engineers and storage personnel to correct errors requiring a change of instructions or sequences of operations. Systems Administrators maintains operating records such as machine performance and production reports.

Systems Administrators provide various project management technical and administrative support for assets employed at approved global locations and support the development of policies and procedures. They must possess strong problemsolving analytical and communication skills in addition to indepth technical knowledge of the Governments systems hardware and software.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the deployment configuration maintenance of Tenable Security Centers Tenable Nessus Scanners Tenable Nessus Network Monitor and Manager applications and all software updates for those applications.
  • Troubleshoot clientrelated issues and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Manage Tenable application dependencies and conflicts as they surface.
  • Manage the appropriate and efficient operation of all servers and scanners that support the ACAS mission to accomplish vulnerability identification for the entire organization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ACASrelated issues for TSOC ACAS admins including client device problems and scanning/report issues.
  • Provide technical support to other TSOC ACAS teams and Report endusers.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate TTP/SOP documentation of ACAS infrastructure including configuration settings and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with other ACAS TSOC teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • Min 12 years with HS degree 10 years with AS/AA degree 8 years with BS/BA 6 years with MS/MA or 3 years with PHD
  • A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required.
  • DoDD 8570.01M IAT II

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in ACAS administration and maintenance of ACAS server infrastructure.
  • Experience with Windows Server OSs and Linux RHEL 8.X ability to troubleshoot and complete/resolve both Tier I and Tier II issues as needed.

Technical Skills:

  • Indepth knowledge of ACAS including architecture configuration and troubleshooting.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other IT teams.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Desired:

  • Proof of successful completion DISA provided ACAS Operator and Supervisor Course v6.x
  • Experience with other Microsoft Office products such as M365.
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux v8.X and below.
