Collaborates with the Radiation Safety Officer to ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations ACR accreditation programs and Joint Commission requirements concerning radiation safety. Develops and maintains measures to control radiological hazards; monitors personnel and facilities to ensure permissible limits of health hazards are not exceeded. Coordinates all health physics activities and promotes the safe use of medical and research related ionizing radiation sources while ensuring minimal radiation risk to staff patients and visitorsEducation
Bachelors Degree : Health or Medical Physics (Required)
Masters Degree : Health or Medical Physics (Preferred)
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience
General experience and advanced knowledge of DOT and IATA radioactive shipping requirements. (Required)
General experience and advanced knowledge of NRC and Pa. DEP regulations pertaining to radioactive material radiation producing equipment. (Required)
Previous experience in managing multiple projects within required timelines and expectations (Required)
2 Years experience working in a Radiation Safety program under a broad scope license. (Preferred)
