Job Description

THE POSITION

Are you an information technology (IT) professional who is excited to pursue a new and challenging career path The Office of AdministrationEmployment Banking and Revenue (EBR) Delivery Center (DC)is seeking a motivated and experienced Applications Developer 2 to assistthe accessibility compliance lead with a full range of activities that ensure the operational effectiveness and accessibility of the EBR DCs applications and service offerings. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Applications Developer 2 you will assist with a wide range of accessibility compliance functionsranging from applications developed for internal use to large highly complex multiagency business applications that currently support multiple business or program areas as well as impact multiple stakeholder groups. It is essential for this professional tomaintain a comprehensive working knowledge of web and document accessibility for purposes of assisting with providing technical assistance support and content/application evaluations to the EBR DC web and application developers; completing periodic reviews or audits of EBR DC applications and websites to ensure compliance with established web accessibility guidelines; and reviewing or evaluating accessibility audit reports first submitted to OA/OIT from agencies throughout the enterprise. You will also have the opportunity to providetechnical assistance to EBR DC program areas regarding accessible document remediation and accessible web design and job accommodation involving the utilization of adaptive computer technology by persons with disabilities.
