ToyotasProduction EngineeringDepartment is looking for a passionate and highly motivatedDie Design Engineer.
The primary responsibility of this role is to create die structure data to ensure die functionality and integrity based on manufacturing requirements.
Reporting to the Die Design Manager the person in this role will support the Stamping departments objective to procure high quality lowcost stamping dies to support Toyotas strategy of building dies in North America as part of global die manufacturing capacity.
What youll be doing
Manage individual assignments to support master schedule delivery requirements for the department.
Create die design structure to meet all requirements outlined in the stamping process plans while identifying process improvement opportunities for quality and lower cost.
Support outside vendors to ensure designs meet all standards and requirements for inhouse manufacturing and production
Incorporate reflection items from previous models per project leader direction.
Follow dies through PatternCasting Construction and Tryout phases to support countermeasures for any design issues
Execute individual assignments to support department Hoshin activities.
Reports out weekly to project leader on individual project milestones.
What you bring
Technical degree or equivalent engineering experience
Stamping die design experience
Stamping equipment and automation fundamental knowledge
Experience with CATIA software
Microsoft Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel domestic and international when needed
Ability to work overtime when needed to include weekends holidays shutdown
