Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Earned DPT degree or masters/bachelors PT degree in combination with an academic doctorate in a related field (required)
- Terminal academic doctorate (preferred)
Experience and Training
- Current physical therapy license and/or eligible for licensure in the state of North Carolina (required)
- Experience teaching in higher education (preferred)
- Experience teaching in DPT education (preferred)
- History of scholarship and active research agenda (preferred)
- ABPTS Board certification (preferred)
- Other professional certifications (preferred)
Knowledge Skills Ability:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (required)
- Values teamwork collaboration selfawareness and humility (required)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Contribute to the mission vision goals and objectives of the Department School and University
- Models the core values highlighted in the Congdon School of Health Science and Department of Physical Therapy Values Statements
- Actively contributes across teaching and service pillars
Treat patients in Department affiliated clinical practice(s)
Teach DPT students in area(s) of expertise (including clinical teaching)
Contributes to the Department School and University through service
and/or clinical mentorship as assigned in the variable workload policy
ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Performs all job responsibilities independently
