Job Description

Position Summary
This is an entrylevel position under the direct supervision of the Adventure Programs Coordinator and Assistant Director supporting the facilitation of recreation trips and equipment rental program. Availability: 1 position effective March 2018 FOAP :

Essential Functions
Ability to: Learn new concepts quickly and relay information to patrons. Ability to work indoors or outdoors in any weather condition. Correctly tie climbing knots and check for safety and usage. Issue track and follow up regarding late rental equipment (as needed). Make recommendations and instruct patrons on proper usage of equipment. Work at heights indoors and outdoors. Pass University belay test. Maintain confidentiality. Use sound judgment in decisionmaking and personal interactions. Accept responsibility for decisions and personal actions. Follow directions and complete assigned tasks. Communicate effectively in person and in writing. Follow APSU guidelines policies procedures and emergency preparedness. Interact in an effective manner with diverse populations the University community and the public. Attendance and punctuality are essential in this position.
