Position Summary The Help Desk Technician position is vital to our agency. This position provides handson technical assistance support and solutions to end users experiencing issues with desktop computers laptops peripherals and related systems. The Help Desk Technician will combine technical expertise with great customer service while helping to maintain user productivity and by ensuring the optimal functionality of IT equipment and software. With a deep understanding of hardware and software you will troubleshoot and resolve IT issues by delivering exceptional support to allow for seamless IT operations.
Top Duties and Responsibilities:
Hardware Maintenance: Install configure and repair desktop computers laptops printers and peripherals as needed. Software Support: Assist with installing updating and troubleshooting operating systems and applications. Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently ensuring minimal user disruption. User Training: Educate employees on properly using desktop systems tools and best practices to enhance productivity and cybersecurity. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of technical issues solutions and equipment configurations for future reference within the ticketing system. Inventory Management: Track IT equipment inventory ensuring necessary devices and parts are available. Collaboration: Work with IT teammates to escalate complex issues and implement system upgrades or improvements.
Qualifications:

Demonstrate patience and adaptability ensuring every interaction leaves the end user feeling valued and supported. Proactively align with the organizations culture by fostering collaboration embracing feedback and contributing to a welcoming and solutionsdriven environment. Education: Associates or bachelors degree in information technology Computer Science or a related field. Experience: 1 3 years in desktop support or similar IT role. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows operating systems Microsoft Office 365 Endpoint Protection Active Directory hardware diagnostics and networking basics. Certifications: Preferred certifications such as CompTIA A Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or equivalent. Additional Requirements: Ability to lift and move equipment willingness to work flexible hours when needed which may include an occasional weekend. This position also requires the willingness to travel to Green Valley and Yuma to support UCPSA employees in those locations. Candidate must also be able to obtain/maintain an Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card and pass a background check with Adult Protective Services and the Department of Child Safety.
