Position Overview
This position is accountable for the management of the Construction Section which constitutes the supervision of all highway construction contracts from award of contract until final payment to the contractor.
Ten years of experience in civil engineering of which at least six of which should be in the specific area of highway engineering four years of which should include the planning and supervision of significant engineering work.
Knowledge and experience with materials used in design construction and maintenance of highways.
Strong management skills.
Strong problemsolving/decisionmaking skills.
Ability to develop and maintain cooperative relationships with staff and the public.
