Job Description
Maintaining a strong sponsored research program: The candidate is expected to actively pursue and manage externally funded research projects (grants contracts etc. and ensure continuous productivity in research activities.
Supervising graduate students: The individual will oversee the work of graduate students providing mentorship guidance on research and potentially serving as their thesis/dissertation advisor.
Collaborating with other faculty in and outside the department: Collaboration is encouraged both within the department and across disciplines fostering interdisciplinary research and initiatives.
Involvement in service to the university and the profession: This includes participating in committees reviewing academic papers organizing conferences and contributing to the academic community within the university and in the broader field.
Ph.D. M.D. or M.D./Ph.D
Outstanding record of research accomplishments a strong interest in graduate
education and a commitment to professional service.
