About ADF Health Services
In partnership with Bupa our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia.
This includes providing defenceready clinical and support staff across 45 onbase locations ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality onsite medical care.
Laverton Clinic
Laverton Clinic is located on RAAF Base Williams in the suburb of Laverton (approx. 23km west of Melbourne CBD). This Airforce base has specialty schools (Language & Defence international training centre). It is also headquarters for Air Force Training Group. Being a relatively small clinic services include primary medical nursing pharmaceutical and dental. The standard operating hours are generallyMonday Thursday and a half day Friday 07:30 13:00.
Serco is a place for you
As an Enrolled Nurse you will be responsible for providing outpatient assessment and health promotion services to patients under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. You will assess the level of care required for patients and set priorities accordingly as well as initiating treatment for minor injuries and illnesses.
To be successful in this role youll have:
- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
- Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2 General with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- 2 years fulltime post registration nursing experience within the last 5 years (or parttime equivalent) in an acute care primary healthcare or military setting.
- Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009 certification.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team to support the delivery of safe efficient and highquality care to patients.
Please note:
- You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role.
- You dont need to be enlisted in the Defence Force to work as a civilian onbase and your job stays here even if the Defence personnel you care for are deployed.
