Job Description
Line Cook at H&F Burger
We are looking for talented and experiencedline cook to join our team of hospitality professionals.H&F Burger and Hops Chicken sit in the heart of Midtown at Ponce City Market in a casual and upbeat space serving delicious food and beverage with gracious hospitality each and every day.
At our restaurants we know how delicious burgers and chicken can be when cooked to the highest standard served on freshly baked bread with an icecold Coca Cola or dram of whisk(e)y. We like to say its burger time all the time serving the same exact one Holeman and Finch Public House became famous for: a griddled double cheeseburger topped with red onion and housemade pickles ketchup and mustard served on a freshly baked pan de mie bun.
What is the Job
As a line cook you will work closely with the back of house team to ensure the consistency and deliciousness of all menu items following our carefully tailored recipes each and every time. You will assist in setting up and maintaining stations preparing food and working in tandem with the rest of the culinary team. You will be responsible for ensuring food quality and timeliness constantly communicating ticket times and inventory with your Chefs.
We are currently hiring for a Line Cook with open AM/PM availability.

- Maintain a working knowledge of all recipes steak temperatures and production times
- Preparing food for service
- Set up and maintain a clean organized station according to brand standards
- Compliance with sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Work as a team player helping your fellow team with guest interactions and bar duties to contribute to a positive working environment
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks and openly communicate with your manager and fellow service team about next steps
- Consistent adherence to the uniform policy
- Reports for duty on time and manages ones shift communicating with the management team when leaving their station for breaks or family meal

What are the requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 3 year(s) of relevant experience as a line cook
- Culinary degree preferred
- Food safety knowledge
- Advanced knife skills
- Able to move and/or lift heavier product of up to 50 pounds
- Able to stand for long periods of time; occasionally kneel bend and crouch as required to reach items at varying height levels
- Able to work in a fastpaced environment calmly and effectively
