Fleet Assistant
Hybrid role working from home and our office based in Belmont Durham
Permanent Fulltime 37.5 hpw)
Salary circa: 29000 pa depending on skills and experience with great benefits including Health Cash Plan

As our new Fleet Assistant in the Repairs and Maintenance Fleet Management team youll play a key role in keeping our national fleet running smoothly. From ensuring vehicles are maintained and compliant to supporting driver safety and efficient scheduling youll be the backbone that keeps our team on the road and delivering for our customers.

Typical day asFleet Assistant
- Keep our fleet in top shape by managing maintenance schedules and minimising vehicle downtime.
- Oversee fuel usage and fuel card distribution to ensure responsible resource management.
- Ensure all fleet drivers meet DVLA compliance and receive essential training.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers to guarantee seamless service and minimal disruption.
- Maintain accurate records and reports to keep us compliant and informed.
- Support accident investigations with data and reporting to keep our fleet safe and accountable.

You have
- Knowledge of fleet management including maintenance and compliance.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with teams and suppliers.
- Proven experience in admin and compliance with a sharp eye for detail.
- A proactive approach to problemsolving and improving processes.
- Confidence with Microsoft Office and managing fleet records.
- A full UK drivers licence as occasional national travel is required. We will cover your expenses for this!

Job details
- Working37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday (were open to agreeing a work pattern with you)
- Hybrid working from home and our office in Durham a couple of days per week.
- We do work flexibly at Home Group.
- Occasional travel is required in this role.
