Responsible for cleaning care and upkeep of assigned buildings or areas of buildings.Will perform daily cleaning in all areas including all public patient care staff areas. Will lead Cleaners when required by assigning work giving instructions providing assistance and observing work in progress on a daily basis. Duties include but not limited to providing assistance in resolving work problems coordinate and assist in work to be performed; works with and assigns staff on special projects reviews work while in progress and ensures project will be completed on schedule; implements and enforces safety procedures; checks building and areas to see all assigned employees are in their areas covered and trains employees.Will mop clean buff & wax floors as well as wash corridors stairs stairwells walls and partitions; safely use various hand operated equipment and detergents & other cleaning products; scrub and clean all areas of lavatories rooms & facilities.Must be able to bend lift climb walk stand and stoop for long periods of time and perform moderate to heavy lifting. Must have ability to climb ladders and scaffolds.Must have the ability to understand and follow verbal and simple written instructions.Excellent customer service skills are necessary. Must be able to read and write.
Must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and to communicate verbally for the purpose of exchanging information. Strong leadership skills required.
