General Responsibilities
This midlevel position is responsible for preparing and serving hot and cold food items in compliance with Norfolk Public Schools USDA local state and federal policies procedures rules regulations and guidelines in a school setting or in the central kitchen. Some administrative duties are associated with this position. Work is performed under general supervision ofthe School Nutrition Manager.
Education and Experience
A minimum of one year of food service and/or customer service experience is required. A current Food Handlers card issued by the Norfolk Health Department is required prior to starting work and must be maintained throughout employment. Prior School Nutrition experience is preferred. Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
