The regional school district consists of five schools from the towns of Lakeville and Freetown. Four of the schools are located in the town of Lakeville; one Elementary grades K3 one intermediate school grades 45 one middle school grades 68 and one high school grades 912. There is one elementary school grade PreK 3 located in the town of Freetown. JOB DESCRIPTION:Driver would operate an eightpassenger van for morning and afternoon school runs. WORK HOURS: MondayFriday school year plus 5 weeks in the summer (Flexible 2025 hrs./wk.)DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain confidentiality at all timesProvide safe and timely transport of students to and from the school/programs they attend.. Perform daily safety checks of vehicle and equipment reporting any problems to the Transportation Coordinator.Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of vehicle.Ensure that the vehicle has adequate gasoline prior to beginning of the route(s).Operate vehicle(s) in accordance with all Federal and State traffic laws.Complete daily pretrip and posttrip inspections student and mileage logs.Secure students and/or equipment with any restraints seat belts car seats etc. for the purpose of ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students.Assist students to safely enter and exit the vehicle as needed.Deal effectively with behavior issues during the route.
