Job Description
Job Role Responsibilities
Seeking candidates to work on challenging engineering problems for our upstream business that focus on exploration development and production of hydrocarbons through development and application of computational modeling and analysis.
- Research and develop advanced computational numerical or data science tools for solving challenging problems in the oil and gas industry
- Build computational numerical models and perform simulations using proprietary and vendor tools to provide design guidance necessary to solve business problems
- Work with computational scientists and engineers to develop and deliver computational tools models algorithms and software to support our upstream business
- Design build and execute parametric and uncertainty analysis studies using simulation models
- Create tutorials documentation training material and case studies
Requirements
- Masters in one of the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering Materials Engineering Aerospace Engineering Computational and Data Sciences or related disciplines.
- Experience in developing applying and analyzing physicsbased models and simulations and developing related algorithms.
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to work in a collaborative environment is required
- Programming experience in MATLAB Python C or C is an advantage
- Knowledge of optimization statistical analysis or machine learning techniques is an advantage
- Knowledge of general numerical analysis and methods for solving differential equations is an advantage.
- Knowledge of commercial and open source software packages such as ABAQUS FLUENT OpenFOAM is an advantage
