Job Description
Registered NurseRN Telemetry / PCU
Job Type: PRN Tier II (Minimum 1 shift/week 2 weekend shifts/month 2 holidays/year min. 1 major)
***Must have at least 18 months RN hospital experience***

Department/Unit Summary
5A is an acute care medical surgical unit. On a typical day 5A has 24 patients with a 1:6 nurse/patient ratio and 1:10 CA/patient ratio.We serve the general population of hospitalized patients with a variety of conditions. The conditions include illnesses surgery testing and observation patients. We take care of patients with comorbidities like diabetes hypertension stroke renal and psychiatric issues.Whilecaring for our patients is the focus 5A boasts a strong team environment improved nurse communication and a commitment to SOVAH Healths core values.

Applicants should have a current VA (or Multistate) RN license and possess a nursing degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelors degree preferred). Additional requirements include:
American Heart Association Basic Life Support
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Associationrequiredorobtainedwithin six 6)months of hire
