Job Duties - Here are some of the ways our DCWs support our clients and their unique needs.
- Personal Care (assistance with bathing/toileting/general grooming etc.
- Meal Preparation
- Medication Administration
- Housekeeping (laundry dishes vacuuming cleaning personal spaces etc.
- General Supervision
- DCWs also can provide respite services to clients that include similar tasks. This allows the primary caregiver (typically a family member) to take a break from their duties while knowing their loved one is cared for in their absence.
- Adhere to a weekly schedule with good attendance and punctuality
- Complete and maintain required certifications and trainings
- Adhere to all agency policies and requirements
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Ability to travel independently to clients visits
- Ability to obtain a FA/CPR certification
- Ability to obtain Tuberculosis clearance
- Successful fingerprint and DES/CPS/APS clearance
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and meet the physical requirements of caregiving
Preferred - Prior experience as a caregiver or in a related field
- Availability on weekday afternoons/early evenings and weekends
