Come work an Internal Medicine Physician with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!
The beautiful lower Sunshine Coast is looking for a fourth general internist. The Sunshine Coast is made up of seaside towns and is a rural area located a short 45minute ferry ride from West Vancouver. There is easy access to extensive outdoor activities ranging from hiking mountain biking kayaking and crosscountry skiing. Sechelt Hospital is a modern facility with an updated ambulatory care unit and a fourbed critical care unit. The three residing internists provide inpatient and outpatient consultations exercise stress testing spirometry and ECG reporting and hold teaching appointments through UBC. Call is presently Level 1 with each internist on call 1:4.
The applicant must have experience working in an acutecare setting with expertise caring for a diverse patient population in a busy community hospital. The successful applicant will hold high professional standards and competence with strong clinical skills. Quality improvement is a focus as well as system improvements infection control and antibiotic stewardship. Group dynamics are strong and congenial in nature with a positive work ethic and culture.
While preference will be given to applicants seeking full time positions consideration will be given to qualified individuals seeking parttime work.
