Our client a leading provider of marine services specializing in vessel support and logistics is looking for a Service Coordinator to join their team in Durban KZN. The role involves coordinating customer services and ensuring the smooth operation of the department.
Responsibilities:
Open vessel files for confirmed orders following company procedures.
Correspond with clients regarding ongoing services and provide progress updates.
Compile documentation and complete service reports.
Contact local shipping agents daily for updates on vessel arrivals and departures.
Assist with additional tasks as instructed by the Operations Manager.
Requirements:
Grade 12 certificate.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple service requests efficiently.
Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Willingness to work after hours and weekends if needed.
Own reliable transportation.
Experience in maritime logistics is an advantage.
Ability to liaise professionally with clients shipping agents and internal teams.
