HealthFitness has a great opportunity for parttime Lifeguards at our large client corporate client site located in Racine WI. In this position you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests.
Lifeguard Racine WIparttime up to 19 hours/week
Available for early mornings and/or closing shifts i.e. 5:15a9a OR 9a12:30p OR 3:15p 8:15p.
What youll be doing
- Monitor and ensure safety and wellbeing of patrons using the aquatic facilities. Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
- Respond appropriately to any emergency.
- Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.
- Other duties as needed/assigned.
What you need to have
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
- Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system databases and tools.
- Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to preemployment drug test.
All lifeguards are required to perform a basic lifeguard skill test consisting of:
- 500 yard swim.
- Active Passive Submerged rescues.
- Spinal injury management in shallow and deep water.
- Other various techniques that were learned during the Lifeguard Training Program.
