Job Summary
As a part of our continued expansion in its technology organization Yellowstone is seeking to hire a Database Administrator SQL MYSQL Mongo DB Azure Cosmos etc) to join our Risk and Data Technology team based at our India Office Mohali Punjab. This role will be responsible for managing both onpremises and cloudbased database environments.

Responsibilities:
Monitor performance of database systems resources and query throughput Optimize SQL Code as necessary
Monitor and maintain database storage resources database maintenance plans for backups index rebuild/defragment and database statistics
Provide advanced skills in the areas of fault diagnosis and failure and initiate remedial action as required in Database and Application Infrastructure environments.
Perform complex backup and recovery tasks for database and applications infrastructure environments. Design the database recovery and backup policy and procedures in accordance with business requirements.
Manage data migration projects including planning and postmigration validation.
Oversee the installation configuration and maintenance of SQL databases on all operating systems ensuring their performance availability and security.
Proactively monitor database performance using tools such as Spotlight identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal system efficiency.
Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to minimize data loss and ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or disasters.
Implement robust security measures to safeguard sensitive data within the databases including access controls encryption and vulnerability assessments.
Investigate and resolve databaserelated issues promptly using advanced troubleshooting techniques and collaborating with relevant teams to implement effective solutions.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations procedures and best practices and generate reports on database performance and utilization as required.
Familiarity with basic database administration including backups restores security and file storage.
Work crossfunctionally with the different teams: dev team customer support product management and others.
Participate in systems implementation projects (requirements documentation systems configuration test documentation/ issue identification and resolution).
Database Cluttering SQL Jobs SQL Profiler etc.
Requirements:
Experience database administration including backups restores security and file storage
Experience administering SQL Server 2012 or newer and strong understanding of SQL database concepts and querying
Skilled in Windows Server 2012 or later including Windows Server Core Versions
Selfstarter attitude combined with the ability to exercise independent judgment and critical thinking with minimal supervision
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
