Design Associate Key Responsibilities:

Design Associate Key Responsibilities:
- Go out to clients homes and meet with them regarding their flooring project
- Follow our Sales System using our tablet laptop and software (nonnegotiable)
- Act as the single point of contact to the customer for all types of flooring service requests
- Communicate customer needs/expectations to Install Manager to make jobs go smoothly
- Ability to maintain customer relationships and develop key referral sources to generate ongoing business
- Develop business partner relationships for ongoing business
- Generate leads through networking and prospecting to supplement companyprovided leads
Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial:
- Knowledge of Shaw Mohawk AHF Cali Engineered Floors
- Experience with flooring or related industry
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Possess values of integrity and honesty
Requirements:
- Valid U.S. Drivers License and clean driving record
- Willingness to complete background checks and drug screenings
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and walk up flights of stairs to customers homes
- Ability to work some weeknights and weekends holidays are optional
- Build a network to provide multiple leads/consultations a week
- 2 years of inhome or outside sales experience
- Motivated to advance to a sales manager position with responsibilities including recruitment hiring training and management of a sales team
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with clients vendors and colleagues
- Strong project management skills with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Selfmotivated individual with a positive attitude
- Time management and organizational skills
- An interest in making a sixfigure income and willingness to work to get it
- A competitive nature with a drive to succeed a hunter mentality
- Strong problemsolving and negotiation skills.
- Ability to use competitive drive and determination to meet and exceed sales targets
This is a fulltime Design Associate role in a hybrid work environment. As a design associate you will be responsible for communicating with clients creating and presenting proposals and handing off all project details to the office. This position requires travel (a company van will be supplied) across our region to complete inhome appointments and provide proposals to customers onsite. The work van provided will carry samples of all flooring products we can order for our customers so they can view the products in their own homes during the appointment.
Pay: Potential earnings are $80000 for the average Design Associate. Aboveaverage Design Associates earn $115000 to $150000.
