Job Description
Job Title: Site Layout Department: Quality
Reports to: QA/QC Director Effective Date: 04/01/2025
Job Summary:
Site Layout provides general oversight inspections and quality control measures implemented by Cobalt and the respective customer for all aspects of a construction project. Site Layout provides the experience and ability to identify and implement a high standard of project and completeness of deliverables to represent Cobalts work in order to meet and/or exceed acceptable industry standards resulting in a quality product for our client(s).
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Jobsite layout with robotic total station
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Selfdisciplined and selfdriven
- Thorough knowledge of site and personnel safety methods of construction activities including personal protective equipment (PPE) and construction equipment safety operations
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to function well in a highpaced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
At least two years prior surveying skills required
GPS machine control and layout experience
Valid Drivers License
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
The Physical Requirements of this position include bending driving stakes in the ground hauling equipment working in outdoor elements and other tasks.
