Job Description
This is a parttime temporary/seasonal position.Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis to establish an applicant pool.As vacancies occur they are filled from the pool.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Nevada State Certification as a Laboratory Assistant.
Minimum of three years experience as a working technologist.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hold national certification as a phlebotomy technician.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist phlebotomy faculty member to properly prepare laboratory space for learning.
Assist the phlebotomy faculty member to teach phlebotomy skills following safety rules and regulations.
Under the direction of the faculty member provide feedback to learners regarding their ability to draw blood specimens.
Communicate effectively with students other assistants and the faculty member.
Compensation:
$25 per hour
