Job Summary:

Geisinger Lewistown Hospital is seeking an internal medicine or family medicine board certified or board eligible physician to join their dynamic team.
The hospitalist position is nonPTO accruing position benefits eligible.

Job Duties:

Geisinger Lewistown Hospitalis a 123bed acute care community hospital serving the 80000 residents of Mifflin and Juniata counties and members of the contiguous counties of Centre Perry Snyder and Huntingdon. Established in 1905 the hospital provides inpatient outpatient wellness and community services while employing over 1000 fulltime and parttime employees and providing a Medical Staff consisting of more than 150 physicians and allied health practitioners representing specialties ranging from family medicine internal medicine and cardiology to infectious disease and general/cardiovascular surgery.

Position Schedule:

  • 7 days on 7 days off
  • 7 PM 7 AM
  • ICU: Open
  • Procedures: None

Position Summary

  • Interviews patients to obtain information such as symptoms medical histories and family histories.Performsand/orinterpretsdiagnostic testsas needed.
  • Diagnose and design a plan of treatment for injuries and/or illness.May prescribeor administermedications.Prepares maintains and reviews records that includepatientshistories examination findings treatment plans or outcomes.
  • Work is typically performed in a clinical and office environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
