Make an impact at Serco

As a Correctional Case Officer you will play a key role in supervising managing and supporting inmates while ensuring safety security and rehabilitation in a respectful and structured environment. You will work in Clarence Correctional Centre Australias largest correctional facility helping inmates prepare for reintegration into society.

In this role you will:

  • Supervise and manage inmates while promoting rehabilitation and reintegration
  • Conduct searches monitor inmate activities and maintain a structured secure environment
  • Use communication and problemsolving skills to defuse tense situations and maintain order
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure inmate welfare

To be successful in this role youll have:

  • A willingness to obtain Certificate III in Correctional Practice (training provided)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with inmates and staff
  • Resilience empathy and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Problemsolving skills and sound judgment in highpressure situations
  • Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role
  • A valid Drivers Licence
